RISE Day One speaker Ashley Callingbull’s beauty runs much deeper than the surface. Hailing from the Enoch Cree Nation in the province of Alberta, Ashley knows a thing or two about the importance of developing a thick skin, embracing your own identity, and overcoming obstacles and stereotypes to thrive as your most authentic self. While the road to Miss Universe wasn’t easy, Ashley has flipped the narrative and allowed the world to become her stage to shine and shed a spotlight on First Nations issues and her Native Cree heritage. A beautiful session for all looking for inspiration and how to stand confidently and boldly in one’s own shoes.
